'For The Warp' Original Soundtrack - Out today!
Hi folks! I've been working on 'For The Warp' by Massive Galaxy studios over the last year or so, and this is the culmination of many enjoyable hours composing music for the various scenes and levels in the game (which you can find out more about here!). The soundtrack features a number of motifs and ideas, which began life during work on the studios other title' Massive Galaxy' (which is still currently in development) and these ideas evolved over time into the 15 track album below. Many of the songs are created from a palette of sounds I've been building over the last 5 years whilst working on the two games, and centre around the use of many FM synthesisers and some analogue hardware too, including some appearances from my new AE modular system and the Korg Poly-800. I'm also a big fan of the OBXD (a free software emulation of the classic OB-X synthesiser) and this can be heard throughout, I'd definitely recommend giving it a whirl. Drum sounds have been provided by various adaptations of the classic 808 kit, and a mixture of other random percussion from my library. You'll also hear a smattering of strings from Spitfire Audio too, which is a company I can also heartily recommend for their attention to detail and superbly formatted libraries.
Give the soundtrack a whirl below, and find it on Bandcamp too!
