I'm pleased to be starting off 2023 with a new release, featuring some of the music from my score for LakeSide, out on Steam in Early Access at the moment. The soundtrack includes a selection of music from the game, including some of the short jingle-like cues for events like The Raid and various milestones. As the game moves towards a full release, the soundtrack will be updated with any new music and a few pieces that need developing into a more conventional linear format. The wonderful artwork you see below was created by Kirokaze, who's also been the artist on the game - I could stare at it for hours!
I've found inspiration from many sources whilst working on this score, most notably from the wonderful soundtrack to Sierra games 'Pharoah' by Henry Beckett & Keith Zizza, the Seven Kingdoms soundtrack from Enlight Software by Bjørn Lynne, and all the fantastic music in tv series Time Team by Steve Day. It's also given me the chance to work with some instrumentation that I've not used before, and hopefully you can hear the fun I've had working with different styles and sounds in the songs themselves.
