"Martyn Stonehouse is an audio designer and interactive artist based in Derbyshire, UK.
Projects range from retro-inspired synthesiser scores to dark brutalist first-person game environments, commissioned interactive installations and generative soundscapes for both private and commercial clients.
His most recent work includes full design, build and audio implementation for the SENSE project at Level Centre. Current commissions include interactive audio/visual installation 'DEGRADATION' in conjunction with the Level Centre completed in September 2020 and forthcoming first-person environment 'DIGITAL DARK AGE'.
His sound design and composition work can be heard in games titles 'Massive Galaxy' and 'For The Warp' available on Steam, as well as the score for 'The Otterman Empire' out now on Steam, Switch and Xbox One. In the wider music industry Martyn has co-written and produced albums for BMG and worked as mixing and mastering engineer on a wide range of artist's EPs and albums. 2020 sees the launch of Martyn's own label, 'Stored Energies Technology' focusing on publishing and releasing physical format EPs., albums and archive material using obsolete storage mediums, find out more here.
