Martyn Stonehouse is an audio designer and composer for games, media and interactive installations based in Derbyshire, UK.
His work ranges from 80s inspired synth-pop to dark brutalist first-person games environments and retro-futuristic soundscapes. A sentimental synthesist, immersive audio mangler and casual carpenter, Martyn enjoys working on a range of creative projects and commissions for both private and commercial clients.
His most recent work includes full design, build and audio implementation for the SENSE project at Level Centre in Derbyshire. SENSE is a multisensory performance installation currently due to tour in summer 2020.
Current commissions include interactive audio/visual installation 'DEGRADATION' in conjunction with the Level Centre due for completion in April / May 2020 (more news coming soon) and album production work for singer songwriter JJ Mist.
His sound design and composition work can be heard in games titles 'Massive Galaxy' and 'For The Warp' available on Steam and Itch.io, as well as a full soundtrack for 'The Otterman Empire' coming to PC, Switch and Xbox One. He continues to work with a variety of artists and record labels providing additional production, mixing and mastering.
